The Šabac Elixir water polo team won the third match in the semi-final playoff series of the Serbian Super League, after they won against the home team 19:18 on the road in Novi Beograd.
The key moment of the match occurred 18 seconds before the end, and the goal for the team from Šapče was scored by Nemanja Stanojević. Novi Beograd had the last attack and a chance to equalize with a player more, but Vuk Milojević hit the crossbar.
The team from Novi Beograd started the match better, gaining a three-goal lead in the first quarter (6:3), but that did not sway the persistent guests from Šabac. Novi Beograd had great problems in converting with one player more, and Šabac managed to turn things around with patient play and gain a two-goal lead halfway through the third quarter (12:10). The finish was extremely exciting, it was a goal-for-goal game, and in the end, with more luck, Šabac still deservedly won.
The most efficient player in the winning camp was Ognjen Stojanović with five goals, while Vasilije Martinović stood out for New Belgrade with seven goals.
