Coach of the Serbian national team

As a coach, he worked at Partizan, with whom he won the European Super Cup and the championship title in 2011. He continued to work at Radnički, with whom he won second place in the Champions League in 2014. He also won the Serbian Cup with Radnički. After a complete renovation of the playing staff in the 2016-17 season, they were promoted to the A League and a year later to the Super League. He won the Regional League and the Serbian Championship twice and three Serbian Cups with the team from Kragujevac. With Radnički, he was second in the Champions League in 2013 and a finalist in the Euro Cup in 2025.

He has been with the men’s national team since 2014 as an associate of Dejan Savić. He dedicated himself fully to working with the younger categories in 2018. He achieved exceptional results, winning two gold and two silver medals. In his career, he also worked with the women’s national team and led the Kazakhstan national team, with which he won the Asian Games and placed ninth at the 2012 London Olympics.

Since October 2022, he has been the federal coach of the senior national team. In Paris, he achieved his greatest coaching success, leading the national team to Olympic gold in Paris. In January 2026, he was on the bench of the Serbian national team, which won the European Championship in Belgrade. It was the first gold in eight years. At the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka and 2025 in Singapore, the national team won fourth place under his leadership.

He was elected the best expert in Serbia by the decision of the Olympic Committee of Serbia for 2024, and is the winner of the May Award of the Sports Federation of Serbia, the highest social and sports recognition.
