Coach of the Serbian national team
Vladimir Vujasinović, born on August 14, 1973 in Rijeka, is one of the most important names in Serbian and world water polo.
Vujasinović was the captain of the national team and one of the leaders of the generation that had won numerous medals at the biggest competitions for years and which, after the period of embargo and sanctions in the 1990s, set out to pave the way for Serbian water polo to all the great successes and the very top of the world. It remained inscribed in golden letters in the history of the most trophy-winning Serbian team sport.
As a player, he played for Primorje, Red Star Belgrade, Barcelona, Partizan, Roma and Pro Recco, winning 37 club trophies, including four Euroleagues, while with the national team he won four gold medals at major competitions (World Championship 2005, European Championships 2001, 2003, 2006), as well as four silver and bronze medals. 2001. He was named the best water polo player in the world.
After finishing his playing career, he successfully worked as a coach at Partizan, Pro Rek, Novi Beograd and the Greek club Vouliagmeni. He was a member of the Serbian national team’s coaching staff as assistant coach to coach Dejan Savić during the most successful period, when gold medals were won at the Olympic Games (2016), the World Championship (2015), the European Championships (2014 and 2016), as well as the World Leagues (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016).
He was appointed head coach of the Serbian senior men’s national team in 2026. His rich playing and coaching experience, distinctive professional approach, and deep knowledge of water polo represent a solid foundation for the continued development of the national team and the preservation of the high standards that Serbian water polo has nurtured for decades.
