Novi Beograd defeated Šabac in a masterclass, facing Radnički for the Serbian champion title

The water polo players of Novi Beograd Tehnomanija defeated Šabac Elixir 11:10 in the semi-final series of the Serbian Super League playoffs, which was played in Šabac, and with a 2:1 victory, they advanced to the final.

More than a thousand water polo fans watched another uncertain match between Šabac and Novi Beograd, which was decided in the last quarter.

The team from Šap started the match better and took a 2:0 lead with goals from Kovačević and Stojanović.

At the very end of the first period, the team from New Belgrade reduced the lead to 2:1 with a goal by Martinović. In the second quarter, the guests made a turnaround and with goals from Šulc, Martinović and Gladović, they reached a 4:2 lead. At the end of the second quarter, Šabac reduced the lead of New Belgrade with a goal by Taholj. At the beginning of the third period, the guests reached +3 (3:6) with goals from Martinović and Gladović, but the home team did not give up. At 2:52 before the end of the third quarter, with New Belgrade leading 6:4, water polo player Šabac Gavrilović was sent off with the right to be substituted. At the beginning of the last period, the guests led 7:6, and the home team quickly equalized the score with a goal by Stojanović. The game was goal for goal in the fourth quarter, and the victory was brought to New Belgrade by Gladović with a goal 13 seconds before the end of the game.

The most efficient player in the winning camp was Martinović with 5 goals, while Stojanović stood out for Šabac with three goals.

The Serbian Super League play-off final will feature Radnicki Kragujevac and Novi Beograd Tehnomania. The winner of the Serbian Super League will be the team that reaches three wins, and the match dates are May 16, May 25, May 27 and possibly May 30 and June 3.
