The water polo players of Red Star Belgrade and Novi Beograd joined Radnički in the semi-finals of the Serbian Super League playoffs. Red Star eliminated Partizan, who triumphed 8:7 in the second leg at Banjica, but it was not enough, as the red and whites won convincingly 14:9 in Futog.
However, the black and whites were close to a major turnaround, as they led by a convincing 6:1 after 20 minutes. By the end of that quarter, Marko Radović, in high spirits, reduced the lead with two goals, and in the last part the same player scored for 6:4. Durutović brought the home team a plus three, only for Red Star captain Dušan Marković to reduce the lead to 7:5 in the middle of the quarter, thus extinguishing all Partizan hopes.
Red Star will play against Radnički in the semifinals, while Partizan will face Zemun in the battle for fifth to eighth place.
Novi Beograd defeated Valis 26:5 and thus scheduled a semi-final with the winner of the match between Šabac and Nais. The team from Šabac was convincing in the first match and is one step away from qualifying for the semi-finals.
