The Serbian youth water polo team (players under 16) advanced to the semifinals of the Balkan Games in Thessaloniki, after defeating the Bulgarian team in the quarterfinals with a score of 9:4 (3:0, 2:2, 3:1, 1:1).
The Serbian water polo players gained a three-goal lead in the first quarter, not allowing their opponents to score. Bulgaria managed to equalize the score in the second period, but Serbia went into the break with a comfortable 5:2 lead.
The Serbian team further increased its lead in the third quarter and calmly brought the game to an end.
