The young women’s water polo team of Serbia (players under 16) won third place at the strong international preparatory tournament in Varaždin, which was held from 17 to 19 July 2026, as part of the final preparations for the World Championship, which will be held from 25 to 31 July in Zagreb.
In addition to Serbia, the national teams of Croatia, Australia, New Zealand and Russia also participated in the tournament.
Our team achieved two wins and two losses during the tournament:
Serbia – Australia 10:14
Serbia – New Zealand 12:11
Croatia – Serbia 9:10
Serbia – Russia 11:13
Serbia finished the competition in third place, behind Russia and Australia, while our national team was followed by the teams of New Zealand and Croatia.
