The Serbian youth water polo team (players under 18) was defeated in the second match at the World Championship in Portugal. After a convincing defeat to Hungary in the championship’s opening match, they lost to Montenegro in the second round by just one goal. In an uncertain match, with many score reversals, Montenegro won 14:13 (5:4, 4:5, 4:3, 1:1).

The most efficient players in the Serbian national team were Strahinja Nešković and Milan Pavlović with three goals each. Milan Zelić and Pavle Papić scored twice, while Luka Vojnović, Luka Drobnjaković and Uroš Rahpejma scored a goal each.
