Novi Beograd Tehnomania played confidently, especially in the middle part of the match, and won in Šabac 13:9 (2:3, 5:3, 4:1, 2:2), thus gaining a big advantage before the rematch at their home ground on May 3rd.
The guests started well with two goals from Lukić, but the team from Šap made a 3:0 series with two goals from Mačić and one from Korac. In the second and third half, the team from Novbeograd played much better in both defense and attack. They turned the score around, Martinović joined Lukić. At halftime, the European vice-champion had a goal to spare, 7:6.
The third quarter decided everything. First, Stojanović equalized, then Martinović and Lukić quickly brought a two-goal lead, and in the last 20 seconds, Pješivac and Milojević secured an unattainable 11:7. There was no excitement in the final quarter. The guests had a plus five, and the victory was not in question for a single moment.
