Serbian women convincing against Slovakian women

After losing to Croatia, the Serbian women’s water polo team continued their competition at the European Championship in Funchal with a match in Group H for 9th to 16th place. Three points were transferred from the group after the victory against Turkey, and in the first match of the play-offs, Serbia defeated Slovakia 12:4 (2:2, 5:0, 2:2, 3:0).

Only twice did the much weaker Slovaks equalize, but after a 2:2 draw, the Serbian team scored seven goals. The difference in class was noticeable. By the end of the match, coach Bradić’s team had achieved triumph without much effort.

Turkey defeated Germany 15:14 on penalties. Serbia has six points, Germany three, Turkey two, while Slovakia has no points.

Serbia will play Germany for first place in the group on Sunday at 12:15. A victory will bring them a duel for ninth place, most likely with Great Britain, on Monday.
