Radnički water polo players will play the first match of the European Cup quarterfinals against Primorac in Kotor on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
These are the two top teams in the Premier Regional League, so there is no doubt that another real derby on the international stage is ahead of us. The Kragujevac team has already defeated Kotor twice this season – first at their home ground with a score of 13:7, and then in front of the home crowd with a convincing 15:9.
– I expect a victory. We celebrated in both duels this year, so I believe in the same outcome. It is certain that Primorac will be much more aggressive, they play at home and will have great support from the audience, but I think that we are wondering, as in the previous two matches, and that we have to impose our rhythm – said Boris Vapenski, left-handed water polo player of Radnički and continued:
– It will certainly be more difficult than in previous matches, but if we show the same desire, energy and discipline, I believe that victory will not be out of the question. Motivation is at a high level and that is our trump card. Primorac plays with mobility, with a specific “Greek-Montenegrin” system, but I believe that we have solutions for both their defense and attack – concluded Vapenski .
The return match is scheduled for March 28th in Kragujevac, when Radnicki will try to confirm their place in the semifinals in front of their fans.
