The water polo players from Novi Beograd Tehnomania will play against Olympiacos in the fourth round of the quarter-final A group of the Champions League on Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Athens. The Novi Beograd team defeated the team from Piraeus 12:10 in the first duel at their pool, but they are aware that they now have a much bigger challenge ahead of them.
– Expectations are the highest possible. We simply have to win – said New Belgrade first-team player Luka Pljevančić before the trip to Greece and then added.
– We know that the importance of this match is extremely high, which is why the approach to preparing for the match was at an extremely high level. A triumph in the duel with Olympiacos would open the door for us to qualify for the final tournament of the Champions League in Malta, which was one of our main goals this season, and that is why we are all very motivated – Pljevančić emphasized.

– We have a very difficult and demanding match ahead of us in every sense, especially since we are playing away. Olympiacos has a really high-quality team, which is mainly made up of Greek national team players. They have two exceptional centers, who practically carry the entire team and on whom their game is mainly based. In order to beat such a strong team, it is necessary to have focus and concentration throughout the entire match. Also, our defense must be very aggressive, because that is the only way we can achieve the desired result – concluded Pljevančić.
In the second match of the fourth round of the quarter-finals of Group A, also on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., Barceloneta will face Brescia. Barceloneta leads the table with a maximum of nine points, while Novi Beograd Technomania, Olympiacos and Brescia have three points each.
