Novi Beograd, like Radnički, will play a decisive match tonight at 8 pm, against Jadran in Trebinje, for a place in the Champions League. New coach Miodrag Mirović emphasized that he has great respect for his opponent, but that his team’s goal is clear.
– The stakes are huge for both teams because a victory means a place in the next phase. Jadran is a mature European team with a special style of play, they are characterized by a lot of swimming and aggressiveness, they are a combination of youth and experience. They draw their greatest strength from organization and discipline. In these matches, the one who has the greater desire in every attack and every defense during all four quarters wins, and we will do our best to be that – said Mirović.
The New Belgrade strategist added that the team is ready to respond to all challenges.
– All we have to do is play calmly, patiently and stick to the agreement. We have to manage the rhythm of the game and make quality decisions for the team, both the coaching staff and the players. Our goal is victory.
Mirović has been at the “11. April” pool for almost two months, so the announcement of the duel with Jadran was an ideal opportunity to share his impressions of the club.
