Serbian young water polo players at the World Championships in Spain

The World Water Polo Championship for young women (players under 18) will be held in the Spanish city of Puerto de la Cruz, located on the island of Tenerife, from August 16 to 23, in which the Serbian national team will also participate.

The competition in this age category has been held since 2012, when the first championship was organized in Perth, Australia. Spain and the United States are the only national teams with two championship titles each, while Greece and Russia have won one gold each. Serbia last participated in 2018, when it took 13th place.

The World Cup will feature 20 national teams, divided into six groups – two groups of four teams and four groups of three teams. The Serbian national team will compete in Group F, where they will face Australia and Brazil.

Danica Balac, Elena Cuk, Masha Cuk, Jana Jankovic, Una Jelenic, Helena Klikovac, Iva Kovacevic, Sofija Krsteski, Jana Pejic, Nina Pekovic, Lana Petkovic, Nika Ratkovic, Irina Trbanos and Tara Zegar.

Expert staff:

Dejan Bozic (head coach), Aleksandar Anastasijevic and Danijela Ćuk (assistant coaches), Miodrag Nastic (doctor) and Goran Cankovic (tour leader).

August 17 at 1:00 PM: Serbia – Brazil

August 18 at 11:30 a.m.: Australia – Serbia
