The final round of the qualifying round was played in Alexandroupoli. Greece defeated the Netherlands 14:11, Italy defeated Croatia 13:11 and Spain defeated the USA 15:8. The following teams qualified for the final tournament in Sydney: Hungary, Spain, Italy and Greece.
Serbia will continue the competition in Group 2 with the USA, Croatia and the Netherlands. Points do not carry over, everyone starts from scratch and the winner of the group will earn the right to play in the World Cup final tournament in Sydney.
Serbia plays the USA tomorrow at 12:30, the Netherlands on Saturday at 2:30, and Croatia on Sunday at 8 a.m. There will be no match on Good Friday.
