Convincing Serbia at the start of the 4×4 Water Polo World Championship

The Serbian men’s water polo team convincingly defeated Mongolia 3:0 (8:0, 8:0, 9:1) in the first round of the league phase of the 4×4 Water Polo World Championship in Dubrovnik.

Serbia won the first two sets 8:0, while winning the third 9:1. All three sets were over within five minutes, as the Serbian water polo players gained an eight-goal advantage in each.

The most efficient was Aleksandar Kovačević with six goals, Aleksa Petrovski scored five, Petar Stanić four, Đorđe Ljubenović three, and Petar Jović and Miroslav Ranđić two each. Filip Ćorić scored one goal, while goalkeeper Radosav Virijević’s goal from his own half of the field was worth two goals.

Serbia will play against the Hong Kong first team in the second round on Tuesday, September 1, at 2:50 p.m.
