The Serbian water polo team defeated the Dutch team 22:7 (7:2, 5:3, 6:0, 4:2) in the final, third round match of the OTP Cup in Budapest.
The most efficient player in the Serbian national team was Kojić with six goals. Pljevančić, Trtović and Jauković scored three goals each, Novaković, Kovačević and Martinović scored two goals each, and Stanojević scored one.

With this victory, Serbia took second place in the OTP Cup, in which it is participating as part of preparations for participation in the Mediterranean Games (Taranto, Italy, 21.08 – 03.09.2026).

The players of coach Vladimir Vujasinović dictated the rhythm from the very beginning of the match and created a significant advantage with five consecutive goals. At the end of the first period, the score was 7:2. At the beginning of the second quarter, the game was goal for goal, and then Serbia reached +8 with a new series of 4:0. All dilemmas, if there were any, were resolved in the third period, which Serbia won with a score of 6:0.
