Water polo players, the national team’s coaching staff and the President of the Serbian Water Polo Federation, Viktor Jelenić, were guests today in the Municipality of Kranj, where they were welcomed by the County Prefect Matjaž Rakovec.
It was a meeting of old friends, which was also attended by the Serbian Ambassador to Slovenia, Ivo Vojvodić.
Serbia often stays in this place to prepare for major competitions, and it is interesting that Matjaž Rakovec is also from the world of water polo, as he is the secretary of the Technical Water Polo Committee of the European Aquatics Federation.
– Kranj is our old base and if things weren’t going well for us, we wouldn’t even come. We have a big competition in Belgrade ahead of us and we are happy that here, as in previous years, we have all the conditions for quality work. I hope that the cooperation will continue in the coming years. I am looking forward to hosting our old friend Matjaž Rakovec in Belgrade soon – said the President of the VSS, Viktor Jelenić.
The County Mayor Rakovac and Ambassador Vojvodić were presented with balls signed by all the players, and Jelenić received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Municipality of Kranj for cooperation in the past period.
