A meeting of representatives of the Water Polo Federation of Serbia and the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro was held at the premises of the Water Polo Federation of Serbia, officially continuing the continuous cooperation between the two federations, after the establishment of the new leadership of the Water Polo Federation of Serbia.<\/p>\n\n
The delegation of the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro consisted of President Nikola Mili\u0107, Vice President Milo\u0161 Mra\u010devi\u0107 and President of the Water Polo Expert Council Drago Pejakovi\u0107, while the hosts were the President of the Water Polo Federation of Serbia Slobodan Soro and Sports Director Aleksandar Nikoli\u0107.<\/p>\n\n
The central topic of the discussion was the further development of the Water Polo Regional League (WRL), as a joint project of the two federations. It was assessed that the first season of the competition largely met expectations, with significant sports and media visibility, as well as numerous benefits for all participating clubs. <\/p>\n\n
At the same time, it was noted that, due to the short period between the league’s establishment and the start of its first competition cycle, there is room for further improvement of the organizational structure. In the coming period, the league’s management bodies will be defined, including the Board of Directors and other working bodies, which will further improve its functioning. <\/p>\n\n
During the meeting, the competition system was also discussed, with the joint conclusion that it was necessary to increase the number of clubs in the Premier League, while maintaining the First League as an integral part of the competition system.<\/p>\n\n
It was concluded that the Water Polo Regional League will continue in the 2026\/27 season, with a joint commitment by both federations to continue its organizational, competitive and media improvement, based on the successful first season, in the interest of the development of water polo in our region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
